Marvin Novogrodski, or more popularly known as Marvelous Marvin, has been performing children's theater for over 25 years.
For the past 16 years, he has created, produced and performed his own original works which include, "The Magic Of Science",
"How The Body Works", "Bugging Out", and his newest show, "Math Blast". Using circus arts, magic tricks, stupendous visuals
and a unique rhyming text, Marvin educates and entertains audiences ranging from K-8th grade. Marvin considers his work
"The Art Of Education". By making his shows full of exciting surprises and eye catching skills, Marvin excites his audiences
so they are ready and open for the learning while enjoying the show with laughter.
Marvelous Marvin promotes workshops also. There's the Science/Dance Experience for young children and his "Circus Arts Workshop"
which has been successful in the K-high school range.
Over the past 12 years, Marvin has been awarded 4 artist project grants and done numerous residencies through the Rhode Island
State Council on the Arts. He has also been picked 4 times to be part of Rhode Island Library's Summer Reading Program creating
shows to fit particular themes.
Marvin is also an active performer for adults. See resume below. Marvin's most extensive commitment has been with the
Everett Dance Theatre in Providence, Rhode Island. He has collaborated on most of their evening concerts and has toured
throughout the United States. Highlights include New York's Dance Theater Workshop, Jacob's Pillow in Beckett, Ma., the
Skirball Center in Los Angeles and various cities including Cincinnati, Austin, Toronto, Columbus, Burlington and Columbia.
In the works for the future is a show called, "The Anatomy Of Your Imagination" which is designed to help students
look beyond the ordinary and discover skills within themselves that just need a little push to become activated.
This show will provide that push.
